My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Figgie as we call her is approx 1 year old and 20 lbs. She is just a very sweet dog, a little shy and timid at first. She gets along with all of the rescues and loves people. She may be a little scared of bigger dogs that are rambunctious. She is quiet and well behaved, just curls up on her dog bed. She had to be shaved down at the shelter as she was so matted. Once her coat grows back she will be very pretty again. She looks like a poodle mix/havanese maybe maltese mix.

OUR RESCUE POLICY: We require a home with children older than 10 years old and experienced dog owners only.

The total adoption fee of between $525 and $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
