My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gerdie is a 10-11 week old lab mix pup who came to us from Oklahoma where she was all by herself. She is a typical pup. Sweet, but bouncy and energetic at times, and she takes wonderful naps at times too.

All pups need work on house training and crate training as well as basic obedience and leash work. Gerdie needs a family who is willing to teach her or take training classes to help her be the best dog she can be. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and in process on her puppy vaccines. Her adopter will need to finish her puppy series vaccines at 13-15 weeks as well as do a heartworm test when she is 6 months old.

Adoption fee is $400.00 (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable.

There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
