Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sadie is a sweet girl would do well in any situation where she was loved and included as part of the family. She is great with children of all ages and enjoys all family activities. She is fine to be left on her own for a normal working day. Sadie is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 16 lbs. She has been fully vetted including being spayed.
Here is what Sadie's foster family had to say about her:
Sadie is a great family companion, she is very attentive and enjoys the company of others. She is in good health and has a moderate energy level. She loves to do whatever you want to do. She will run and play but also enjoys sitting and cuddling with you. Sadie is good with people of any age. We have a toddler and she is great with her, couldn't see any issue with any age group. She does not show any shyness or isn't timid with anyone. Sadie doesn't pay much attention to other dogs on walks. She does get a little shy with bigger hyper dogs that want to play. She doesn't chase our cat or pay her any attention at all. She goes about like she isn't there.
Sadie is quiet and well behaved in the home. She only barks if she hears someone coming in the door or a strange noise outside. She does not appear to have any anxiety and doesn't worry or fret when we leave the home. She just waits patiently for our return. Her favourite things to do are to play with her stuffed toys and going for walks. She is most excited when we arrive home and does her little happy dance.
Sadie is food driven, and she will sit beside you while you eat, but won't steal it while you are eating. If you left the food within her reach when you left the room however I am sure she would take it. Sadie is house trained but she doesn't know how to signal her need to go out. Sadie hates being crated and will cry the whole time she is in there however, she is very trustworthy in the home so she doesn't need to be crated. She sleeps through the night very comfortably in her bed. She is leash trained and walks well on leash. She does not seem to have been taught any formal commands but the fact she is food motivated and eager to please, she should be easy to train. She is good in the car and loves going for rides. She is calm, and loves to look out the window.
Sadie is a smart, happy, and affectionate dog. She thrives with activity in the home and would be a great companion to any family. She would do very well in a home where she has a backyard to play in, kids to play with and love her, and overall being respected as part of the family.
If you think Sadie would be a good choice for your family, please visit our main website at http://www.uglymuttsdogrescue.com and submit an adoption application.
