My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tator Tot is a 6 year old, 36 lb, male Carolina Dog. He is tan with four white paws and a white chest. He is up to date on all of this vaccines and recently had a three year rabies shot. He has/is been consistantly on heart worm prevention, flea, tick, and worm prevention. I rescued him when he was two. He traveled up and down the east coast with me and my job, doing amazing in the car (sometimes for over 5 hours at a time). He LOVES to hike, swim, run, explore, Netflix and chill, sunbath, lay by a fire/heater. I used to run a mile with him every morning, not because he needed it but because I did. Tator will happily do whatever you want to do, meaning, if you want to lay around all day and be lazy he will too, if you want to go on a three day hiking and camping trip he will too. He does NOT do well with cats, he has killed a wild cat before. Tator's breed is a hunting breed so be prepared for him to get birds, mice, squirrels once in a while (like two a year, not an everyday occurrence).
The reason we need to part with Tator is because he snapped at our one year old son. He has never snapped before this, nor has he ever bitten a person or dog. He is supper submissive and tolerable. I think hw would be absolutely fine with 12plus age kids. I take this seriously because I was bitten by a dog on the neck as a four year old and almost died. Tator is a loving, laid back, super sweet dog. Tator can be left out in the house, he will not mess with anything. Tator doesn't love to play fetch or chew on dog toys but he loves a bone, duck foot, or grain free treat. Tator is on a grain free diet because he is allergic to grain (getting a mild red rash if he has it). Tator doesn't beg, for we haven't given him food from the table.

Tator would enjoy a yard and an occasional hike or walk/run; however he would love to snooze by the fire, on a coach next to is new pal.
