My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing only for Tinkerbella. This Doxie is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. For information, please contact her current caretaker, Valerie at: (503) 828-7801. OR E-mail at: vmbaker@outlook.com

Meet Tinkerbella -

Tinkerbella is a 13 year old, short hair, 12 lb. dapple doxie. She is spayed but needs to be updated on vaccines. She is going blind & deaf and has had 3 seizures over the past 6 years. She has some issues with potty training and has accidents in the house. She needs someone who is home very often, who can patiently care for her properly as her eye sight and hearing gets worse. Tinkerbella get along with other small dogs and kids but should not be in a home with cats. She should slowly be introduced to other dogs, since she has a hard time seeing and may be startled if introduced too quickly. She travels well in the car, is leash trained, and knows some basic commands. This sweet little senior loves to play with her ball & toys, and enjoys snuggling and burrowing under blankets! For more info please contact Tinkerbella's current owner directly.

Unfortunately, ODR, Inc. is over-full and cannot take this little Doxie in. If you or anyone you know can help, please share this email or contact their current caretaker, Valerie at: (503) 828-7801. OR E-mail at: vmbaker@outlook.com

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.

*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and *Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). *Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.

Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.

Thank you!
