My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful Yorkie mix boy is Randy. He is only 5 years old and a chubby 13 pounds. Happy & Friendly Randy is being fostered in Orlando, FL.

UPDATED BIO 12/21/2018: Hi all, Randy here. I'm one of the new dogs on the block. My foster mom says that I'm a super sweet boy. She was told that I am a Yorkie mix, but the "mix" part remains a mystery. It doesn't matter, I'm a very happy and healthy doggie.

My previous owner worked long hours and was moving to a place where she couldn't take me. I was very sad about that. But on the positive side, my foster mom is retired and has lots of time for me. I really like that I am getting so much attention now.

I love all people, including children over 10 years old. I love to cuddle and I'll take all the pats and belly rubs you can give me. I like other doggies, but I would be much happier being an only dog and getting all the attention. I am not sure about cats - I only met one, but I am pretty sure I would like to be the only pet in the home getting all the love for myself. Don't worry, though, I will give you lots and lots of love and kisses back.

I am mostly house-trained. I just need a little time to adjust to the rules of my new home. I love car rides and walks. I even like baths! My foster mom says I walk very well on a leash. See, I’m a perfect little boy.

I am current on all my shots. I'm neutered and have been microchipped. I just had a dental cleaning and my toofies are all clean now.

My dream home has a mom/dad who work from home or part-time outside of the home. I don't want to be left alone for long periods of time. Been there, done that – and I don’t like it. I would also love having a fenced-in yard so that I could chase the squirrels, but that’s not a deal-breaker.

I heard a commercial on TV the other day – now see, aren’t I smart to even know what a commercial is?? The person said "come find me". That about sums it up. You won't be disappointed.

Initial bio 12/16/18 Although Randy just arrived at his foster home, he has already shown what a sweet, friendly, happy, active, fellow he is. He is always ready to play and have fun. He loves attention and will do what he can to get it. He loves people, and would love well-behaved kids 8 years old and older to play with him. He walks great on the leash and is crate trained. He would be happy to be petted all day long. A fenced yard would be best for this energetic boy who still thinks he is a puppy.

Randy will be seeing the vet very soon. He is already up to date on his vaccinations. He is neutered and heartworm negative. Once his foster mom's vet gives him the okay he will be ready for his forever family.

This beautiful boy, who has one ear up and one ear down, will be looking for his perfect forever home soon. He will most likely need a home with an active family life style, a fenced yard (no doggie door, please) and someone to give him lots of love and attention so someone home who can be with him a lot of the time.
