Mona is a blind 9 year old Italian greyhound...Mona tops the scale at a little over 19 pound so right now she is on a diet to get back to the figure every little lady wants. Mona blindness is all new to her apparently back in July she woke up blind one morning.
Mona is a sweet little lady but can get overstimulated fast when there is to much commotion...she does enjoy spending time with her foster mom on the sofa or in bed under covers...she also enjoys being outside but if you are not with her she does want in to find you... she does enjoy her foster dogs except at feeding time, so it is best Mona is fed in a kennel and has her own space while eating.
Mona has had very little accidents in the house when kept on a regular schedule she does amazing...she also knows how to use pee pads. Mona is not one to be left alone for long periods for she does have some separation anxiety...so someone who can be home with her or she can be a secretary at work would be best.
One thing Mona is cat curious... she would probably not hurt them she is just very inquisitive...a cat who is tolerable of dogs would likely be ok though.
All in all Mona is a sweet lady she just needs direction and help with her blindness. She gets around amazingly well, is willing to go up and down stairs still, and knows where you are at almost every minute. She is great at following sounds. And, she gives a ton of kisses (almost a bath of them sometimes) to show her affection and appreciation.
She is leash trained. Mona likes to go outside in the morning, afternoon and then evening around 9pm to keep her from having accidents. She sleeps in her own bed, but hasn't been around many dogs. SHe is good with children too.
