If you are interested in MYLES or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application

Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com

MYLES is the happiest ball of fluff we’ve ever met. He is excellent with dogs of all sizes. He will try to play with every pup he meets, but gets the message if the other pup isn’t into playing. MYLES shares his foster home with a bullmastiff, 2 pitties, and a 16.5 year old chihuahua mix. He knows to potty outside and is safe in his crate when his foster family is away from home. He is FABULOUS on leash and a star at both dog parks and dog day care. Mr. MYLES is gentle with children (he is actually gentle with absolutely everyone), shares his toys with other pups, and rides well in the car. This 1 year old boy always has a smile on his face and is happily wagging the back half of his body. MYLES is an incredible boy who is going to bless his forever family with a lifetime of joy!
We require MYLES’s forever home to have at least one other resident canine who isn’t a small breed and also have relevant breed experience. MYLES’s forever family CAN have resident small breed pups as long as there is a large or XL friend for him in the home as well.
MYLES is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
