If you are interested in UNA or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application

Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.
UNA is amazing! She is one of the most affectionate spirits I have ever encountered. She is the perfect mix of shepherd smarts and boxer fun. She LOVES other dogs, LOVES cats, and LOVES every human she has ever met! UNA is her foster mom's cuddle companion and her furry foster brother's playmate. She will curl up with you to binge on Netflix or run like the wind at the dog park. She is just the girl to bring to a restaurant patio or on a hike. At the same time she is totally content to hang out at home and play in the backyard.
UNA is crate trained and house trained. She thinks toys are the best thing ever. Her eyes light up with glee over each and ever toy. She is a combination of princess and tomboy. She is the most ideal family dog you could ever dream to find. She is literally perfect.
Since UNA adores other living creatures so much, her forever home either needs other animals or someone who works from home. She isn't the kind of gal who wants to spend tons of time all alone.
UNA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area once she is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
