My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ariel - Cocker/Border Collie Mix - Female - 5 Years - www.twyla.org

Meet Princess Ariel! She is a gorgeous 25 pound Cocker/Border Collie mix, and about 5 years old.  Princess Ariel is back with us after a failed adoption due to no fault of hers OR the adopter, we learn more about each dog as their environment changes and we learned that Ariel needs an experienced adopter. She is a little pushy and likes to resource guard, but corrects well when her human calmly but assertively "takes charge".

Princess Ariel is a champion snuggeler and wants nothing else but a cuddle buddy to hang out with all day long. She is looking for a home that has the time and patience to give her the attention she needs and craves. She could live with another dog as long as her human stays "in charge", but would do best as an only dog. It does take her some time to warm up to new people and she is not a fan of kids, so an adult only home or teenage kids or up would be best.

Ariel is looking for a dog-experienced home, preferably as an only dog and no kids. Ariel can be vocal around strangers, so she may not be a good fit for apartment living. We are happy to provide guidance on her training, she has been working with one of our trainers and continuing that training would be vital to her success in a new home.

***** Please note that not every dog comes to every adoption day, so if you would like to meet a specific dog on adoption day, please contact us so we can make arrangements accordingly.
