Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello and good afternoon everyone, I would like to formally introduce myself, my name is #PibblesBPFF. I would like to share my story with you, well I had a family a while ago, I thought that I would be their forever pup, but sadly that wasn’t the way things turned out. A few months back they took me to get my vaccines, I thought everything was just fine, they were taking care of me right? Well my about 2 weeks ago, when I overheard the dreaded words, they were going to surrender me to ACC, what on earth was going on. My heart was breaking, how could they do this to me, what would happen to me now, I was a nervous wreak. The day came for me to leave, no one seemed too concerned, no one cared I guess, to them, I was a disposable pup. When they dropped me off, I was petrified, I couldn’t stop shaking from head to tail, why would my family want to get rid of me? What did I do to deserve this, I was thinking back the years I spent with them, and other than being timid, there was nothing I could think of that would have caused this to happen. How can you care for me, for most of my life and one day you decide that you don’t want me anymore? Did they consider my feelings at all? Did they care that they broke my heart into little pieces.
Thankfully the friends I had made at ACC were so kind to me, they saw how scared I was, and they did their best to comfort me. When I went to see the doctor they said I needed to be fixed, oh my God, how can I be broken I thought, were they going to fix my broken heart I wondered. But that wasn’t it at all, I needed to be spayed so I couldn’t have any puppies, they told me how everyone of us has to be fixed. I didn’t realize how many unwanted pups are out there, till then, and it made me even sadder.
Shortly after I arrived, I got snippy with one of the volunteers, I guess I scared her a little and warned her with a growl to leave me alone. That wasn’t a good thing to do I realized when they brought me to the area where other scared pups stayed, they all have broken hearts just like me, they are scared and snippy too. What did they expect? I weigh on 4 pounds and I am suffering from a broken heart, they let me be, and I did my best and behaved like a good girl.
They decided to send out a rescue request and see if anyone would want to help me, and you already know who answered that call. Aunt Liz from Barky Pines, and from what I was told, her and her family have helped so many pups just like me, I felt a ray hope. Once I was spayed and got my rabies vaccine and microchip, they told me I was going to go to Barky Pines. The other day I got to meet aunt Liz’s sister aunt Mary. When they brought me out, they said to go easy, cause I’m so nervous. Well when she looked at me for the first time, I saw the compassion in her eyes, the lady handed me over to her, and I growled a little bit. But that didn’t matter, cause aunt Mary held me close and told me not to worry little one, she was taking me to her family’s farm where I would be welcomed and meet a lot of new friends.
And that’s just what happened, and when we got in her car, I settled in on her lap, cozy and not afraid at all, she sang silly songs to me on the ride out to the farm, and I felt comfy in her lap. When we arrived at the farm, she told me I was going to stay in her house cause I’m so tiny, and I needed to rest a few days. Aunt Liz came in to meet me, and the warmth of her heart showed in her eyes, she welcomed me and told me not to worry, that they will care for me and love me and help find me a home. A home with a family who will love me forever and ever. My heart just about melted at her kind words. I made friends already with aunt Mary’s pups, and they welcomed me into their home with open paws and wagging tails.
I went outside for some fresh air a little later on and that’s when I met uncle Steve, he had a warm welcoming smile, and I knew in my heart, that these people, would do anything they could to help their “children”, I made friends with some other pups then too, and they all are so happy and healthy, I knew that I had no reason to fear them.
I will be ready for my forever home in a few days after I’m rested from my spay. If you or anyone you know would like to meet me, please don’t hesitate to ask. I am very shy, but once I warm up and feel secure, I cozy right up and give sweet kisses. I am 4 years old, I am a Chihuahua, I am up to date on all my shots, and hope that my Christmas wish, for a loving forever family will come true. Till that day comes, I will be here in the loving home of Barky Pines
Well I better go, need to get outside for some exercise, thank you for reading my story, thank you for caring, and especially, for sharing. Your friend Pibbles woof woof BPFF
