Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I am Nick, a liver- that means brown- Dalmatian who has just turned three years old. I am living in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my foster humans and six other dogs. I am a happy, cuddly boy who, in the past few months, has learned to be housebroken, have good house manners, and know some obedience. For instance, I can sit and wait while my foster mom puts down all five dinner food bowls on the floor before I get up and go to mine to eat. And I am good at coming when I am called.
I have had lots of Agility training in my first home, but no manners training. I was an outside dog and missed being inside with my human and doggie brothers and sisters. But NOW, this foster home has a dog door and jingle bells on the big door so now I get to go out to play and take care of my business but also snooze on the couch or dog bed or snuggle with my human foster mom and dad inside. I LOVE to cuddle.
I am looking for a home that has another playful dog for me to exercise with, or a mom or dad who runs, bikes, or hikes often. I love toys and am really talented at throwing them straight up in the air and catching them or playing fetch with my humans. Sometimes I jump as high as the moon. I need lots of exercise. My foster mom says a tired dog is a good dog, and I like to be a good dog! Right now I play with my other dogs and chase, and tug for exercise. I am also going to Obedience school to learn to be a smart(er) dog. I know how to sit/stay, and how to lie down. I am learning to walk nicely on leash.
Here are a few NOPEs. No children under 10. Running, screaming kids really get me excited and trigger my need to stop them. No biting but I grab clothing. No good. No cats or small dogs. I live with two dogs who weigh less than 15 pounds and, again, when I am excited, I like to pinch them with my big mouth. No good. So it is better that I just don’t have those attractions around.
I like having my humans home so I can get lots of attention. I am good in the crate or in the house (although I really like to tear up paper)alone for a few hours. But I don’t want to spend 10 hours alone. I follow my foster mom around and like to snooze wherever she is working. Where my humans are, so will I be.
So if you are the bestest home for me, contact my foster mom, Lyn @ 505-857-0012 or cnspotz101@q.com I will be the most loving boy you can imagine.
