Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Norman
Male (neutered)
Shorthaired brown tabby and white
~2 years old
In May, a lady who had 2 cats was moving out of her apartment in or near Speedway. She asked her friend Risa to help her move. Risa helped. When Risa inquired about the cats a couple days later, the lady who moved was very evasive. On a gut feeling, Risa went back to the apartment and found Norman outside, abandoned. (The lady had taken her other cat with her.) Risa took Norman in to her home, in a bathroom, to make sure he wasn’t sick as she had other animals. Unfortunately, when she introduced Norman to her big dogs, he tried to attack them. Risa knew she couldn’t keep Norman and called us. We took Norman, who spent the first two days with us being very angry and untrusting, then he became a big goofball. In June, Norman was made available for adoption at PetSmart. He was adopted after a couple weeks. The adopter called us at the end of September explaining that she had to move suddenly and couldn’t take Norman with her. (Per our contract, we will always take back cats who are adopted from our rescue.) After a quick check up and another day or 2 of being mad at being back with us, Norman was made available for adoption at PetSmart again, where he was adopted by a family who had an older male cat.
Norman started attacking the 14 year old resident cat at his new home, most likely in an attempt to establish himself as the big man on campus. He is now back with us. For this reason, we are now listing Norman as "needs to be a solo pet". Norman can play a little rough when he gets overstimulated, so we are also recommending no small children.
