My name is Jersey!

09-20-09 Jersey update. Hi all, Jersey here! My FM asked me to write a note to all of you who are looking for a special companion and a little guy like me. I have lots of kisses to give and I promise I will behave nicely if you decide you might like to adopt me. I sure am ready to go to my fur ever home! I'm still what they call a "puppy"! I just had my 1st birthday so I'm growing up really fast! My FM says I'm doing really good! I think so too!! We have not been back to that doctor guy in a few months which is just fine with me. I live in Iowa with my FM. Won't you consider me, pleeeeeeease? I will love you fur ever!



Update 08/11/2009: Hi all, Jersey here! Hey...it's my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! I'm "1" year old today!! Me and my FM and my two fur sisters had a little party. I really didn't care much for that hat, but we needed to take a picture for all of you who might want to read about me and maybe adopt me! My fur sisters gave me a new blanket that my FM made, it's so soft! My birthday wish is to be adopted by a really nice family who will take really good care of me and love me.


We had another great month. No Doctor visits which suits me just fine. I'm doing really well. My FM thinks I gained a little weight but that doesn't slow me down one bit. I still love to run and run and run in the backyard. I get along well with other dogs like me, and kids, and grown ups and I love to snuggle! Won't you pleassssssssssseeeeeeeeeeee adopt me?? Lick-Lick Jersey.


07-11-09 Update. Hi All! Jersey here!! I needed to let you know me and my FM have had a great month! No visits to the vet, no prolapse problems, life is good!!! Oh BTW, I'm almost a year old now. Next month at this time I'll be "1", bet we have a party! I thought I might put in my wish list a bit early so you might be able to help me out!


All I really want is someone to adopt me. Maybe you'll have a fenced yard, you see I love to run and run and run! It's my favorite thing in the whole wide world. It would be really neat if you fill out the adoption form soon and maybe I can have my first birthday with you! I'm quite healthy, I have pearly white teeth, so white they shine! I'm working on my house-training, it's going pretty good, but sometimes I get a bit excited and you know how that piddle thing goes! I am really a good boy, I play pretty good now with my fur sisters, so maybe my new home could have a play friend for me too! That's all! Smooches - Love Jersey.



6-23-09 Update...Hi all! Jersey here. Me and my FM decided we needed to tell you what a wonderful two weeks we have had! No problems and no vet visits! That's great in my book! We were thinking that maybe someone out there might be interested in adopting me. I'm ready and would really like to find somewhere I can call home.


You know I'm only 10 1/2 months old and I went from my fur mom to my first mom and her family and then to my FM and her girls. I do really like those girls but I'm thinking maybe I should be thinking about moving on. I'd really like to have a house that has a fence! You see, I run and run and run like the wind! It's my favorite thing to do, I love the grass and the outdoors. Next, maybe this home might have a little dog like me, because I like to chase and play tug with toys too. Oh, and I love to snuggle close, especially on your lap or next to your feet. I seem to get along with everyone and with little dogs too. But remember, I'm a little guy, just 6 lbs big so I need a home that's little dog friendly.

Update 05-06-09: We're back! As you can see, I've been to my FM's favorite groomer! I sure do like my new doo! She says I have really soft fur and that I was the good boy and stood really still. Been back to that dogtor too. He said I need to come back next Thursday for that neuter surgery. My FM and I are getting to know each other really well. My favorite thing to do is run and run and run in the back yard, so fast and I love the sunshine. I love to snuggle with my FM and I'm still learning how to behave around my fur sisters.


Initial Bio 05-03-09: Hi All! I'm so glad to know you are reading about me. Let me tell you my story...My name is Jersey and I was born in a small town in Iowa on August 11, 2008. I'm actually my Foster Mom's very first Foster Pup! Isn't she in for a surprise!! I'm a boy and a very busy boy at that!! Well, here's my story...I really didn't stay at my first home all that long. They had lots of kids and lots of fur kids too. They decided as a family that I needed to go to a new home, somewhere that could give me lots of attention and somewhere they can teach me how to behave. Too many fur kids didn't seem to work out so good for me. So, here I am, on the UYR LOL page.


I had a bit of a rough start. I had a prolapsed bowel in December, 2008 and had to have surgery and in January, 2009 I had another prolapsed bowel and had another surgery. It's now May, and I am doing much better. I do need to be watched closely to make sure I don't have that problem again. They say I need another surgery to get neutered, what ever that means.


I've only been in my Foster Mom's home for 24 hours so we are just getting to know each other. She's helping me learn that potty training stuff and how to act grown up and now to be nice to my fur sisters. I already miss my FM when I can't see her. When she knows more about me and after I've been to see that dogtor again we'll be back in touch.
