Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peanut is a 2-year-old spayed female black lab. Peanut weighs 74 pounds and is up to date on shots.
Peanut is a smart and good looking pup. She is a ball nut who likes to retrieve and is good at it. Wants to be with you and get petted and thinks ear rubs are great. She will de-stuff toys to get at the squeaker and pops tennis balls playing with them. She would love an active family that have a fenced yard to play in so she can get the exercise she needs.
Peanut is doing great, she loves to play fetch and snuggle with you. She asked that her human also like play fetch and maybe have a stronger throwing arm than foster mom or have a ChuckIt. She'll climb right in you lap to cuddle & get belly rubs. True lab who believes in shared personal space.
Kids 6 and up, lived with 3 ages 6, 7 & 9 with no problems. Good with other dogs has lived with several other dogs, has been out with other Lab Rescue dogs at the kennel with no problems. Chases squirrels with a vengeance, so would say no cats. Knows sit come, working on down & stay. Pulls on lead, with an Easy Walk Harness. She is crate trained and reported as house trained.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound.) Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
