Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR website. Thanks for that.
To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.
There is an adoption fee of $250 for this dog.
Is that a darling puppy face or what? Dash was a transfer from another shelter who got him from another shelter so he has traveled a bit to arrive with us. They did not have a lot of details but allowed us to pull him when he was scared and needed socializing and more training.
I am guessing Dash is about 6 months to a year old, 7 pounds now but we are worming him so will end up tiny around 8 pounds when he puts on a bit more weight.
He came in on the 12th of December and wil be neutered and up to date on his shots by early next week. I feel he will be adoptable around Christmas but keep in mind we do not allow folks to adopt from us to give these dogs as gifts. WE will need to meet with the family that wants to adopt him.
Because he is shy I am requesting a home with adults who have time to finish his house training and basic manners training. We are starting the process here already but he will need a good three months of work in his new home or just like any puppy folks get this time of year.
So far he is very sweet and coming along nicely with volunteers hugging on him and bribing him. He also likes us carrying him around.
He has a leash in the photos because we do not chase scared dogs and keep them tethered until they come when called. As he progresses in his socializing I will be able to get better photos without a leash attached.
