Meet Tahoe!!!
It isn't easy to get a photo of this amazing boy because as soon as he sees a camera he is either wiggling his butt or being Amish and turning his back on it! This boy is a real beauty and much more handsome than his pictures show! He is a non-shedding, hypoallergenic mix of Shih Tzu and Maltese with THE shiniest black fur that is so amazingly soft it is incredible.
Tahoe was owned by nice couple who had him since he was a baby and bought him from a person who bred their black Shih Tzu female with their white Maltese male. They took very good care of Tahoe. But when the wife found herself in a new job working 12 hour days and her husband was already working those type of hours she just felt he could have a way better life with a family that could actually spend time with him.
He was a bit shy at first but warmed up so fast and genuinely likes other dogs a lot! He is submissive towards other dogs so he doesn't start fights, growl or be possessive with food. He does like to play and would make a great family dog as he would be terrific with kids.
His adoption fee includes his neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, professional grooming, harness and leash. Tahoe is also housebroken and walks great on a leash. An adoption fee does apply.
As we pre-screen via email ONLY please tell us a bit about you such a your lifestyle, work schedule, activity level, area you live in, house or apartment, how many adults, children and pets in the home, where your pet stays when you are at work or out of the house, where your pet will sleep and if you do not have another pet how you plan to keep Tahoe socialized with other dogs.
Please do note that Shih Tzu and Maltese breeds do need to be groomed every 6 weeks or so to keep them from getting matted or tangled.
