Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweetheart of a guy is a full blood Persian who came to us with Scarlet (also up for adoption) when their mom could no longer care for them. Sadly, he suffered the most from this and was in horrible shape when we got him. We thought we had him a forever home with an experienced Persian owner. She took him to her vet, had him combo tested (negative), his shots brought up to date, treated for fleas, dewormed, and given a general check up. He was given a Convenia injection for an upper respiratory infection and found out he only has about two teeth but he eats dry food just fine. She later took him to a groomer to have him shaved into a lion cut because he was so matted. Through no fault of his own, he was returned to us. Because his skin was in such horrible condition, we took him to our regular vet. A skin scrape revealed he has a bad skin infection that's now being treated with Clavamox antibiotics along with Malaseb medicated baths twice a week for 3-4 weeks. And because he's extremely brachiocephalic (smushed in face), he'll need his eyes cleaned regularly and his nose flushed with saline daily. Mario loves attention, wants to be close to his human, doesn't like to be locked up (or out), and would also do better in a quiet home with another laid back cat. He's still in semi-rough shape but is much better than he was and now on the road to recovery. He’s going to be a slight special needs kitty and requires a home where his human knows about Persians and their particular needs – and one who has the time to deal with his condition and will give him the time to recuperate.
