My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Abe the gentle giant was pulled from an LA shelter where he was declining. He was left tied to a tree outside the shelter, severely underweight, and so is working through a bit of separation anxiety and crate training. Corsos are notoriously intelligent and sensitive and Abe is no exception. He's still decompressing and coming out of his shell, but already is gentle with people, docile at home, and easy on the leash with a prong collar. He is being slowly introduced to dogs (we don't have cats). Because of his size, he would be best in a home older children or adults only.

We think he'd do best as the only dog in the house, or w/ another female dog, or very slow introduction w/ an experienced owner (in that order).

He would do best with someone that has lots of time to be with him and someone who knows the breed and is experienced with rescues and/or large breeds. With training, love and patience, he will be a perfect companion.
