My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hugo- Chihuahua terrier cross / 5-6 years / 4kg / M- neutered

Hugo is a lapdog always in search of THAT lap. He is an absolute cutie-patootie with a handsome coat that is both smooth and soft. Hugo takes but a minute to warm up to strangers,; meeting new people does not slow him down at all. One good sniff, a once over and he's good to go. We would not label him overly timid.

Once he's comfortable he turns into a total love bug. He's fabulous with other dogs, respectful kids and even cats too. Snuggling up with anyone, furry or human, is his favourite thing after a play time.
Hugo is also very interested in playing with dogs who are closer to her size, although big doesn't necessarily upset him. But he is dinky, so big long legs stampeding towards him does give him pause. He is housetrained and has excellent manners inside the house.

Hugo is a calm and quiet gentleman and his ideal home would be a chill environment that matches his chill quiet energy. The perfect home would be with a person or people who can provide him his cuddles with or without a furry pal for snuggling, playing, or both.

No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.

NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
