Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We’d like you to meet sweet Mikey -- in all his wonderfulness! After a neighbor (who turned into his foster dad temporarily) returned home from his daily walk, there was Mikey in the driveway, hungry and needing a place to hang his leash. According to other neighbors, Mikey had apparently been wandering in the development for at least a week and, although he had already been neutered and is very well house-trained, the family who found him has been unable to locate his owner. His foster mom feels as if he must have been well-loved in his past.
Mikey is an extremely friendly and downright joyful little guy. The vet estimates that he was born around September, 2017 -- and weighing in at approximately 38 lbs., there’s not an unkind bone in his little body. He just wants to make friends with every other creature he meets: people, cats, and other dogs. And he LOVES to play with his toys!
He has already learned to sit for treats and meals. He is a quick study and eager to please. He is very curious about everything -- but not destructive -- and extremely intelligent. He doesn’t bark much at all. This boy is going to be an all-around great companion for some fortunate family! He’s the kind of dog who is easy to fall in love with… and who is wonderfully capable of loving you back!
Mikey’s new home should have a fenced yard and another playful canine companion to help him expend much of his energy and keep him company when left alone.
Mikey is in good health and is neutered, microchipped, and current on his Rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention.
Mikey’s adoption fee is $250.00.
We would like to thank Savannah Strickland Photography for taking Mikey's photos. Savannah is donating her time and skills to help our dogs find their forever home. I If you would like to learn more about Savannah and her photography, please go to her website: https://www.savannahstrickland.com/

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
