Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mork!
20lbs
8 month old mix
Mork is a sweet, loving, cuddly, pretty calm puppy who would love to have a family with kids and dog siblings! He will fall asleep anywhere if you massage him, he loves to give kisses, and he loves to play with his foster-sister-dog (no cats though!)
He is very timid meeting new dogs at first, but warms up slowly.
We thought he had food aggression but its more just food obsession from being starved. He will allow us to touch him or his food while eating with no aggression. He even has no problem sharing a water bowl with our other dog.
He is *mostly* crate trained (doesn't usually go in willingly and only sometimes whines) but quietly sleeps in crate all night.
He is *mostly* housebroken. If he goes to the door he needs to go out asap because he won't wait long 😉.
He is SUPER smart and easy to train. Already learning boundaries (stays off couch), his name, no, and working on basic commands.
He isn't a fan of the cold so short walks are best now.
He LOVES napping in a sunny spot.
He will make the best Christmas gift for a big family with more love to give.
Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies.
Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a “teen” or adult dog.
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
