Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella Rose is a friendly 9 YO female salt & pepper mini schnauzer. This little sweetheart is house-trained, playful, very alert, and very active. She gets along with other dogs. Bella loves to play with her squeaky toy.
Her adopter preferably will have a fenced yard so Bella can burn off some extra energy. She does get along with children 10 and older but she would prefer a quieter lifestyle where she is getting lots of attention and her owner is home during the day. She definitely would get along with visiting grandchildren.
Bella is not suited for apartment or condo living due to her barking with visitors and taking time to settle down. She also does not do well in a crate, so is better off being gated into an area or room if she is not allowed to roam freely when no one is home.
If you would like to be considered to adopt Bella, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees.
We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and eastern West Virginia. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Bella's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!
