Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marley is a lovable, playful 6-year-old Lhasa Apso/Maltese mix who enjoys relaxing with his people and cuddling his trusted friends. He weighs 16 pounds. He is a great companion and we think he'd be best in a home without other dogs or children. He loves to go on walks and car rides and will be by your side every step of the way. He knows how to go potty outside, reminding his people that he needs to go out by bouncing up and down. He would love to sleep next to your bed and keep you company while watching your favorite TV show. He loves to play with his favorite stuffed toys, too!
He does get anxious and nervous, especially around food, and will nip if approached while he's feeling stressed. He will bond and feel comfortable with confident people, but seems more anxious around young children and large groups of people. It would be nice if who ever adopts him has some experience with dogs and their needs.
Since he's been back with us, we've noticed he does get territorial over his toys and his food. We really need someone with some experience to help him overcome some of these issues.
Marley originally a Poke-A-Dot's dog and the family reached out to us thinking he needs to be in a more quiet home without any children.
If you're interested in adopting Marley, please fill out our application at www.pokeadotsrescue.com or you may also call Sheri at 209 603-5866.
