Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JASMINE – like the beautiful fragrant white flower with the yellow center, this Jasmine has a lovely white coat and yellow eyes. Soft and fluffy, her white coat is medium length and accented with a dark ringed tail and ears. These marking are reminiscent of the Turkish Van breed, though this kitty’s lineage is unknown. She is a petite 6 pounds now and is nearly full grown so will probably be no more than 8 pounds as an adult. She is estimated to be 7 months old with a calculated date of birth of 5-2-18.
Jasmine is very friendly and playful, engaging with other kittens and contented alone. She loves to bat the ball back and forth to herself in the circle toy or chase a rattle ball across the room. She is very athletic and agile, curious and mischievous. Once tired, she is laid back and will find a place on her own to chill. In the busy room where she is currently housed she has not yet become much of a lap sitter. She seems to be a one person cat and her foster parent believes once she is in an individual home, she will attach and become more cuddly.
She was trapped as part of a feral colony but it immediately became apparent that she was not wild and was probably dumped there because of the other cats. Not wanting to release a friendly cat back into the wild, the rescue found an available foster home for her.
She has been spayed and has recovered from her surgery. Her shots are up to date but will need a booster FVRCP on 12-28-18. She was tested by our veterinarian and found negative for FIV, FeLV. She was treated for fleas (just in case, even though there were no signs). She was dewormed and has had a negative fecal test with the vet.
She lives with and is good with other cats and has been tested with dogs and kids and was fine. She does enjoy the companionship of other cats but would be fine alone. Her grooming needs are moderate as she is a medium haired cat. She been fed Purina One dry food (kitten and then adult formula) and treated to Friskies canned food on occasion. She is litter box trained and is used to being caged at night.
If you are looking for a stress reliever to warm your lap and purr on your chest until your blood pressure goes down, look no further than a cat. He/she will be a lifelong companion (their life span, not yours) who will follow you around the house and greet you at the door when you come home.
