My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Lacey and I'm just the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. I'm only 1 yr old, but I've been through quite a bit in such a short time. My previous owners didn't take very good care of me and when they were tired of me, they dumped me off at a trailer park to fend for myself. Thankfully, several kind women decided to take me in. They fed me, gave me all of my vaccinations, and made sure I was completely ready for adoption. I'm now living in a foster home with a really nice guy. He's been working on my crate-training and other obedience. He says that I am a very quick study. Of course, I am. I'm a border collie! I have a good default sit, I know down, "leave it" and am working on "stay". I'm the perfect size for anyone...not too big, but big enough to do agility work, eager enough to do nose work, and playful enough to be lots of fun, once you train me. My foster is also working on my leash skills. I've not spent much time on a leash, but now, I'm taking walks every day. I'm still a little rough around the edges, as far as my training is concerned, but if you work with me, I'm going to be an exceptional pet in just a short period of time. I will do best in an ACTIVE HOUSEHOLD, with someone who is interested in training me. I am a working breed and I like to stay busy with tasks. I need mental stimulation, as much as I need physical stimulation. Doesn't everyone?
