Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The first step of the adoption process is completing an application. Please visit http://southernstylegreatdanerescue.org/application/ for an online application.
Note: We will not answer any questions about the Dane until an application is completed and returned.
Hello my name is Adele!
I am estimated to be 2 to 3 years old! And I’m a very precious soul! I love to run outside! And play with toys but I’m very protective of my toys so I will need to play with toys by myself as I’m not sure how to share. I would do best in a home with no small dogs, female dogs or cats. I could co-exist with a medium to large male. Also, I’d prefer my forever home to have someone home more often than not.
I currently sit when I am commanded and when asked to get in my kennel at feeding time or at bedtime I do so with no fight at all. My kennel is my safe zone, even though sometimes I still have accidents in my kennel if I get water too close to bedtime. I understand what the word no means and am quick to listen. Yak-chews and stuffed animals are my favorite since I am a little restless in the house, they give me something to do.
My favorite activity is to be petted and rubbed on my sides and my back. I get in your face to show you love but I haven’t quite learned how to lick yet! I have a serious face and beautiful bold eyes that will steal your heart.
I am really hoping to find my forever family that will continue to help me grow since I didn’t know anything about the world when my foster parents got me. I need lots of attention and a family that has a routine. I need a family with the patience to understand that accidents happen and I am trying very hard to be the very best dog I can.
