Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Billie is one of the sweetest and kindest old pups you will ever meet. His person recently passed away and did not have family to take him in.
Billie is extremely affectionate, and has a passion for making everyone smile. (He always has a smile on his face, and he knows they are contagious!) His favorite things include playing fetch, giving slobbery kisses, and going on walks with his human pals. He doesn't really care much for playing with other dogs, and he seems to get along with female dogs better than males, but he prefers being with humans. While Billie has lived with cats in the past, he does have a history of not doing well with them, as he does seem to enjoy chasing.
Billie will want a home that can provide him with the attention that he needs and desires, a strong throwing arm (for his love of endless fetch games!), and a warm place to curl up and take his power naps. If this handsome fellow seems like the new addition to your family, come by and meet him today!
Billie is apparently house trained as we know he has lived many years in a house and does well keeping his bedding clean.
We cannot confirm that dogs who come from the shelter will be house trained.
Please be prepared to provide the training and dedication that will be needed.
We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.
*** This is why it is important that we introduce everyone in the home to the new pet. Please plan to have the whole family come visit.
*** We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.
*** All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.
*** Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
