My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance was a very emaciated cat that walked up to my shelter crying for help in early October. He was so thin that your fingers could almost close around his backbone by his hips. He was that skinny!!!

Thanks to my trusty helper Sheryl who stepped up to foster him and nurse him back to health. In the beginning he was so sick he would not eat and she fed him a few dropper fulls of bone broth every few hours. While she was at work she recruited friends and family to go over her house to coax him to eat. He finally began to eat on his own and moved up to baby food and then cat food. He even began to gain weight.

His foster Sheryl says he is a good boy, quiet and gentle. Her other cats go in to visit with him. He does not fight he just lets them wander around. He goes down the stairs from time to time but goes back to his room
.
He is about 2 years old and now looking for his forever home.If you would like to adopt Chance please complete an online Cat Adoption Form her: http://www.janinethebeanrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/

ABOUT JANINE THE BEAN RESCUE:

JaninetheBean Rescue Inc. is a registered 501c3 non-profit rescue group.

There are so many cats that are stray, lost or (sadly) thrown away by their owners and left on the streets to fend for themselves trying to find food and a warm, dry place to sleep. Janine Wagner, of Janine The Bean Rescue, is a one-woman savior to these cats!

She goes out every morning at 4am, 365 days a year in rain, snow & sleet in the Beechwood section of Rochester, NY to provide shelters and feed at 18 different locations, totaling nearly 100 cats. Plus, she TNR's (traps, neuters & returns) many of them to prevent overpopulation -- some of those cats that she traps, she tries to foster and get them adopted into forever homes and off the streets.
