Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Albert is a sweet little pup that sadly learned the hard way that he can't always trust humans. We are fairly certain that he was mishandled in his past life which causes him to be fearful at times (especially of men) and means that it takes some time for him to realize that he will never be harmed again. He sat in the shelter for an extended period of time with untreated corneal ulcers (now cleared up) and needs eye drops multiple times per day. Because of this he would do best in a home where someone is around more than they are not. Albert is playful and currently lives with 4 other small dogs. He loves to cuddle even though he's still getting used to the concept of loving hands - he walks well on leash, is learning how to sit and burrows himself in cozy blankets when he is ready for nap time. Albert needs a forever home with someone that is willing to be patient, loving, forgiving, gentle ... and who understands that as long as the process of him learning to trust again is slow moving - he will be the best little buddy ever. Please will you consider adopting (or fostering) Albert? He deserves a second chance and has so much love to give.
