My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If Sam could only talk we would know his story. What we do know is that he was hanging out in a plumbing supply warehouse in Bayonne, NJ for a few months when a cat lover stopped by to pick up supplies. This friendly fellow started rubbing all over her legs and followed her around as she completed her purchase. Assuming that he was the warehouse mascot, she commented on what a friendly kitty they had. To her surprise she was told "he's not ours and we really don't want him here because he sets off the alarm every night."

There had been no postings meeting Sam's description and none of the workers would take him home. The cat lady literally came to the rescue. Sam was scooped up and brought to SI along with her plumbing supplies. The plumbing is fixed and so is Sam.

We now know that Sam was already fixed, likes to be around people, signals that he wants head and belly rubs, so we're guessing that he was a house cat who got left behind. Sam has the cutest meow-squeak-trill that delights his foster mom and will charm whoever adopts him. This handsome fellow will make someone a wonderful companion. He is low key and easy going. This handsome fellow will be good with anyone - old or young, two-legged or four.

Sam was born Sept 2017, is up to date with shots, neutered, negative for FIV / FELV, and microchipped. Currently in the care of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare, Sam can be seen in his foster home by app't. or on the days he is at PetSmart Forest Ave.
