RESCUED, from high-kill Laurens Co, SC Animal Control. Brought in, along with her 6 pups, as an 'unwanted mama and probably her first(&, definitely last) litter'.
dob: ~April 1, 2017(she has pearlie-white teeth)..looks to be Carolina Dog & BeagleX.
SWEET girl, friendly, outgoing, gets along well with other dogs and kids of all ages. Will test with cats, upon request. Sticks close to her babies, and we're not wanting to stress her out so will allow her to take her own time getting to used to life among those who actually care about her, & having enough food so that she doesn't need to forage, near and far. She acclimated quickly to all the other rescues at Howlin4Spirit's compound. She's happy to learn that life can be better, now that she is wanted and loved. You can see the trust in her eyes, now.
She walks well on-leash, but we have not been able to test her indoors. It is our belief that she was not a dog-lot dog but most likely was an outside dog, allowed to roam. However, as much as she appears to want to please her human, we feel strongly that she is housebroken with a refresher course(e.i., regular visits outdoors and proper exercise).
In just a little over 2 weeks time, her coat has gone from dry & bristly to smooth & soft, with the proper nutrition and medical attention. She looks better and you can tell she's much happier.
