Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at those eyes!!! That's the first thing you'll think when you meet 2 year old terrier/westie mix, Khaki! She's got beautiful amber/gold eyes that stand out in striking contrast to her wiry white coat. They glisten with intelligence and melt your heart when combined with a happily wagging tail! Khaki also has very expressive ears; it's pretty funny actually! They seem to have a mind of their own and are aimed in various directions every few minutes. It sure gives her character! Khaki's previous owner was literally going to shoot her because he didn't want her any more; luckily a neighbor convinced this idiot (sorry, it's the nicest word we can think of for him) to let her take Khaki to a shelter instead. She's such an outgoing, social girl; she's ready to make friends with everyone she meets. She did have horrible flea infestation when she ended up at animal control; her hind quarters are stained & have a thinning coat as a result. We can't wait to see her in 3-4 months when it's grown out & thickened; she's going to be beautiful!!! And since she does have a wiry coat, she's not going to be a "shedder"! Khaki does fine with other dogs but hasn't figured out how to play yet; but she's feisty so we think she's going to learn. Because she's so people oriented, she would do fine as an only dog as well. She weighs about 30 lbs so Khaki is a great size ... not too big and not too small. She loves walks & car rides and is always ready for the next big adventure. She will need a fenced in yard in her new home as, although not overly rambunctious, she is active and will need to be able to run & explore. Khaki's adoption fee is $250; she's spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Let us know if you'd like to adopt this wonderful girl!!!
