Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update Banjo has a meet and greet Saturday 12/22 - If all goes well he will be going to his forever home and this post will be removed by Saturday evening. Meet Banjo !! This guy will steal your heart in a New York minute! He is sweet, friendly and an all around love bug! Banjo is one of the most affectionate dogs we have ever encountered. As you can see from his photo's he actually gives hugs. This guy's tail never stops wagging , he is just a good-natured, happy pup! He is a year old and weighs ~ 45lbs. Like all rescues we do our best guess to identify their breed- we see lab, may be pittie and sometimes boxer when looking at his profile. He gets along great with other dogs and just loves people! He is a medium energy boy - who is just as happy snuggling with you on the couch or laying at your feet. He is just an all around great dog! He will play outside with his fur-sisters and then come in and just chill out an relax.
Banjo's didn't have a great start to life. Banjo was picked up as a stray in Rockport Tx. A couple weeks before he was to travel to CT - we almost lost him due to the ugly Parvo virus. He was hospitalized for a week and recovered. Once he arrived in CT we brought him to our vet and retested him and the test came back negative. He is now healthy,,happy and has a bright new future a head of him. It is suggested that he not be around other dogs (for their benefit - not Banjo's) that are not fully vaccinated for a few more months. We recommend if interested, you should call your vet for their advice. He is currently in a foster home with three other dogs.
Banjo is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies, DAPP, bordatella. He is on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Banjo is crate and housetrained. His adoption fee is $450. For an application or more information email SHERRYL825@cox.net.
