My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coming soon... Jazmin is a 10 month old mini-Aussie/border collie mix, ready for her forever home. Jazzy was found in a bean field, lost, confused, and injured, with sores on her feet from wandering. She’s healthy now, and understandably, a little scared of the world.

She loves a lot of things… people (especially men!), cuddling, other dogs, cats, and tennis balls. She loves to bark and growl when playing and LOVES to run. She enjoys playing chase with her foster sister and playing with squeaky plush toys. She’s pretty good at playing fetch, and foster mom says she’ll bring back her favorite squeaker fish 75% of the time. She thrives playing outside with her foster sister. Jazzy can be vocal when she wants attention, but is working on those manners. She has a lot of energy and needs a securely fenced yard where she can run and be safe.

When relaxing inside, she is quite the cuddle bug and loves to snuggle and be held. She knows her basic commands, sit, lay down, and come, and is working on stay, leave it, kennel, and drop it. She sleeps through the night and is housetrained.

Jazmin is still scared of a lot of things… loud sounds, new environments, and car rides. She is not yet kennel trained but has not been destructive in the house. She is not used to a leash and will need continued work on this.

Jazzy needs a patient family who is willing to allow her time to overcome her fears and help her build her confidence along the way. Her family will be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion. She bonds quickly with her people, and this bond will only be strengthened as she gains trust and confidence. Jazzy will do best with another, confident dog in the home to both help build her confidence and as a playmate.

She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is housetrained but not cratetrained. She is being fostered in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
