Orchid is currently located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.

Orchid was saved from death at the dog pound. She is a super sweet young greyhound/saluki mix. We think she is still under a year of age. and weighs around 50 pounds. Orchid is an absolutely wonderful dog. She is so sweet, gentle and loving. Orchid loves playing with toys, and she loves to run and play with other good dogs. Orchid is house trained, crate trained, and very well-behaved in the house (barring an occasional counter surfing incident). Orchid is a little timid of new people but warms up with a little love. Orchid is gentle creature and must be treated gently....verbal reprimands are all that is needed. Orchid must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and she must have a secure fenced yard to run and play.

Orchid is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heart worms and current on heart worm and flea preventative. Orchid has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport to Strasburg VA or Hagerstown MD.
