Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Peanut... a little 6-year-old, 10-lb., red, short-haired Dachshund who's hoping for her forever home for the holidays.
Peanut is a very sweet little girl... she's a little shy at first, but gets along with everybody, including other dogs. She really doesn't interact with the other dogs in her foster home, and we feel that she would love a home where she would be the 'one-and-only'... a home where she wouldn't have to share the love and the lap of her new guardian.
Peanut is housetrained, and will run outside willingly to 'potty'. Being a small dog, she does need to be let out on a schedule, a few times a day. Peanut currently sleeps in a crate, but we know she'd much rather share 'the big bed' with her special person.
Peanut's a happy little girl who will enjoy going for daily walks. She uses doggie steps to climb up on her sofa to rest, but will also cuddle up on a doggie bed.
Peanut is in good health, and is spayed, microchipped, current on her Rabies, Bordetella and DHP/Parvo vaccines. She tested negative for Heartworms and is on Heartworm and flea prevention. We also ran comprehensive bloodwork for Peanut, and she tested within normal ranges for everything. Peanut also had a dental cleaning.
Peanut’s adoption fee is $275.00.
Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!
If you are interested in Peanut, and think she may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our on-line application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.
Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
