Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We do not adopt dogs from just phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR website. Thanks for that.
To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our website at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.
There is an adoption fee of $300 for this dog.
Now that this sweet yet shy standard boy is neutered he is ready for his new home. Tommy is in rescue through no fault of his own. His owner died so he came here to find him the right home with adults. He is too shy for an active home or one with kids, etc. He prefers more quiet and low keyed when his last owner was a senior.
Tommy is very sweet and once he warms up, he is a a very cuddly dude.
He was free feeding so a bit overweight. He should be about 22 to 24 pounds when he loses a few. We started him on his diet and he is coming along nicely there. UPDATE: He is losing weight nicely now that he is no longer free feeding and almost his ideal weight as a standard sized boy.
He will need work on his housebreaking. His owner was sick for a while and could barely care for himself so he was not allowed outside enough. We have started the process and he is coming along well. Tommy is also crate trained so an easy peasy, mellow boy we are finding.
His front legs are shaved in the photo because they needed an IV when he was neutered.
