My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ALLIE is a 2-year-old spayed female black lab. Allie weighs 81 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION Allie is a beautiful, sweet, gentle girl. She is very affectionate and wants to be around people constantly. She is a former breeding dog and lived in an outdoor kennel. She knows commands like sit and shake but still needs some basic obedience and leash work - she is very food motivated so will likely do nicely with additional training. She has kept her crate and run clean at night. Allie did well around a teenager but we have no history of her having lived with kids, so she is approved for kids 10 and up. Allie was an owner give up due to one of her owners passing away and the surviving spouse can't care for Allie. More Info soon!

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Setting: Rural, suburban
Dwelling: Single family
Fence: No fence required

Allie is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single-family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update.
