My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katie (ARPH #10911). Hard to believe she was in one of the worst shelters in NC and harder still to comprehend how she ended up there.
Shy and afraid when she came to rescue, Katie is blossoming each day and it shows. This cute red merle is about 2 yrs old and her social skills with other dogs is wonderful. Cats are safe around her too. Although we don’t think she had ever seen a horse before, they don’t seem to bother her at all, matter of fact she pretty much ignores them. As you can tell from one of her pictures, this little gal is not worried about messing up her pretty coat with a little bit of muddy water. Can you say “beach aussie?”

Katie’s shyness with humans is getting better every day and she now follows her foster dad, who is a big guy, around everywhere. She is even allowing strangers to greet her now and especially likes ones who offer treats. Like most other aussies who have not grown up with children, small ones make her very nervous, so Katie will not be placed in a home with children under the age of ten. And Katie needs to have a playmate in her new forever home too.
