Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cami (ARPH # 10395). Well, here it is, the time when a new year is about to begin and I guess I will start it like I am ending the old one, in rescue, with no forever home of my own. Sad……….don’t you think? I don’t understand it. Just because I am deaf, folks think I’m not adoptable??? Well let me tell you something, my foster mom says it is proably a good thing I am deaf because if I could hear, I would be dangerous! LOL
I am a sweet girl, just turning a year old. I have the prettiest red merle coloring you will ever see. In the sunlight, it can look orange at times and the black highlights really make my coat stand out. I am a petite thing too, under 40 lbs.
I am housebroken and crate trained so my new home will not have to worry about that. Sometimes you will find me sleeping in my crate, just to get away from the hustle/bustle of daily stuff. I am learning hand signals and know the one’s for “sit/down/stay/off”. I am a snuggle bug and enjoy sleeping in the bed with my foster dad. He likes it too because I keep his feet warm.
I am good with other dogs, no matter the size or sex and my foster sister Skyler and I really enjoy our daily romps through the house and yard. Matter of fact, we are such good buds, adopting us both together would be fine by us.
I am spayed and my vaccines are current. I get monthly prevents for heartworm and fleas. I am pretty good at bath time too. The only complant my foster mom says she has about me is my barking but we are working on the “no-bark” command. If you can get my attention and I know what you want, I’ll try to be quite but sometimes, especially when we are traveling in the her truck to go down to the woods to walk, she has to use a water bottle to let me know she wants me to be quite. For some reason I really like to bark at objects I see outside my truck. But maybe that is the puppy in me, who knows. I will need a home whose yard is completely and securely fenced in and my new home must understand that for my own safety, I must be on leash any time I am not in a secure fenced area.
I am in Aiken, SC and ARPH approved adopters wil need to come there to see me. Please contact robinmccann@bellsouth.net if you would like to know more about me and are already approved to adopt through ARPH.
