My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luigi! This adorable black and tan mixed breed male pup is around 11 months old. He hails from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas where he and his littermate were strays. Both boys were living in horrendous conditions, grossly underfed and were sick. Despite being feral when he first arrived at the rescue, Luigi has become quite the little snuggle bug who loves belly rubs and ear scratches. He walks great on a leash and loves to play with toys. As Luigi was a stray for the first 3 months of his life, he takes a little time to warm up to new people. Also because of his rough start, his growth was stunted. He shouldn't get much larger than 45 pounds when full grown, making him the perfect size for an apartment or condo. He plays well with young dogs but is still learning to interact with older dogs. Luigi would also do better in a home with older children, ages 8 and up. He gets nervous around younger children who have not learned their dog manners yet. Luigi is neutered and current on; vaccines, flea & tick and heartworm preventative.
