All of AdvoCat Rescue's cats and kittens are fostered in private homes. We require a completed pre-application to be submitted prior to scheduling potential adopters to meet them. Handsome Blanco, approx 2 years old, was found abandoned on the streets of Brooklyn. His luck changed when he crossed paths with a kind person who took him in and started searching for his owner. He then found out from a local super that people moved out and left Blanco behind.

Per Blanco's foster soon after arriving: "we didn't have to put much effort into socializing him. After the first day of feeding, he was amenable to getting picked up, and he's a nuzzler. He gets along amicably with our older and younger male and female cats, and seems to have formed a cute friendship with one or two of them"

and a few days later

"He’s quite a joy, really—he’s not shy, doesn’t hide, and socialization was pretty effortless—no hissing, scratching, etc. He’s bold, but not aggressive around our other male and female cats, which are between 1.5 and 7 years old.

He doesn’t sit on laps yet, but loves to get pet. As of yesterday, he overnighted in bed :) He has a good amount of energy during the day, plays w toys and catnip a bit, especially w one of our male cats.
