Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Bertha and I am an 8-year-old Coonhound. I endured so much during the YEAR I lived at the shelter. I have survived starvation, cancerous mammary tumor removal, and heartworm. Now, I am completely healthy and ready for a family I can call my own.
I was an outside dog, but I’m loving my warm, comfy bed indoors. It sure beats being chained to a dog house. Being older, I am chill and do not need much exercise. I am happy to go on a short walks and then come home and lay on my bed. And I’m a quiet hound. I would do fine in an apartment as long as it was the first floor (I have a hard time going up and down steps)
I am dog and cat friendly. I’d prefer a dog that was more my speed as I am not that motivated to play. I ADORE kids!
