Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Can u stand how cute this little one is?????
This is Josie. And boy has she had a crappy start at life. She was struck by a car while in NC and was taken to a kill shelter. Her pelvis was shattered in numerous places and BOTH of her femurs were broken, the right greater than the left. The pelvic fractures and left femur were inoperable - the vets feel that cage rest with pain meds were all that was needed for those. The right femur required surgery which was done prior to her arrival to us. Unfortunately, a 6 wk post op film that we did showed that the plate and pins that were placed during surgery were too big. The pin was actually intruding into her knee joint which was the reason for her continued pain and refusal to even toe-touch that leg. Another surgery was performed weeks ago to revise what was done and PT was started immediately. She now is PAIN FREE and is using her leg!
She is also now ready to go to her forever home! Getting Josie Home for the Holidays would be the perfect ending to her last year of hardship. She is only about 1 yr old - and is beyond tiny! She is about 16lbs - that's it.
She is great with other dogs - but just keep in mind that she is so small and is still in the healing process so larger active dogs may hurt her in just trying to play. She is great with kids - but again, same thought. So young kids who are grabby and pinchy - no good.
Adoption fee is $500 and includes numerous health and follow up exams, surgical repair of femur with follow up removal of pins, pre and post op X-rays, Physical Therapy for 6 wks, up to date vaccines, microchip, spay voucher to be used when she has completed PT, deworming, bloodwork, and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
