Tonka is a sweet boy! He is friendly with people, gentle with children, and loves dogs of all sizes, and tested good with cats. Tonka has a good temperament. Tonka is doing very well and ready for his own forever home. Tonka started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining. Tonka rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the doggie parks. He is one wonderful dog and will make a lovely family dog.
Tonka’s Rescue Story
Poor Tonka’s mom is a homeless dog and had a litter of beautiful puppies. His mom took good care of them and hid them well in the bushes to protect them. A kind lady spotted them when she was walking her dogs. She quickly rescued them and fostered them. A kind no kill shelter around her area was willing to take them in. However, the shelter is overcrowded with a few hundred dogs and would probably never get a chance to be adopted. She reached out to an experienced rescue organization for help. The founder read her message and knew it was urgent to save them. They were rushed to the vet for a complete health checkup. Luckily, they are all healthy pups. Tonka has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Tonka is ready for his own loving home.
Tonka is a wonderful boy and we are praying for a wonderful family to open their hearts to him.
