My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brinkley is an adorable 10 year old Yorkie old boy who weighs a skinny 10.10 pounds. He would be a great family dog for one lucky family. Brinkley is being fostered in Bradenton, FL.

Updated bio 12-2-18 If you want an almost perfect dog then Brinkley is the one for you. There is nothing his foster parents can say about Brinkley that isn’t good. Yes, he has a heart murmur but it doesn’t affect him at all. In fact, he is not even on medication for it. His vet said he will live a long life.
He still runs and plays and is the best dog ever. If fact his foster dad said Brinkley is the nicest, most obedient, well behaved, and well-trained dog he has ever had or been around.

Here are all the wonderful things about Brinkley. Just check out this fabulous list of why Brinkley is the best dog ever.

Here are the amazing and great things about Brinkley.

*First and this is so good—Brinkley is potty trained. He knows to do his business outside.
*He is friendly and gets along with other pets and people and even well behaved kids over the age of 8.
*He is not much of a barker at all.
*He sleeps all night in his crate; in fact he likes to be in his crate and goes in willingly.
*He waits to be called or asked to come on furniture or in your lap.
*He really likes to be on his people’s lap. Who wouldn’t want a great, cuddly lap dog?
*He does great in the car.
*He walks nicely on the leash, and enjoys his walks. He doesn’t pull or try to run off.
*He is healthy and athletic. He loves exercise, and a fenced yard or trips to the dog park would be great.
*He is and calm and quiet. He would be perfect in any home.
*Brinkley listens extremely well.

All in all, this is one almost perfect dog. Any family lucky enough to adopt him will be getting a great dog. A person could look high and low, but a better dog couldn’t be found anywhere.

Although Brinkley is 10 years old he is very young in spirit and in heart. He would be a wonderful family dog or a dog for active seniors looking for a companion to love for the rest of his life.

Please, don’t pass this great guy by. He is waiting for his forever home. He can’t understand why no one seems to want him to be their forever pup. Please fill out an adoption application for Brinkley. You won’t be sorry. We promise you.

UPDATED BIO 11/16/2018: Brinkley was surrendered to UYR because the child in the home developed an allergy to him. He has been in his foster home for just a few days, but has already had a vet visit. He is a bit underweight at 10.10 lbs and a healthy weight for him would be 12 lbs.

Foster Dad reports that he is a very sweet, friendly and loving dog. He is also calm, obedient and sleeps happily in his crate. He appears to be a very happy fella who gets along with the other dogs in the home. He seems to be house-trained as well – yeah!

Brinkley does have a Grade III heart murmur, but does not need to be on any medication at this time. He also has some very mild skin issues which most likely is fleabite dermatitis, but that is very correctible.

Would Brinkley be the perfect pup for you and your family? Brinkley can be placed in a home with well-behaved young people over the age of 8. He would also love to have other dogs for companions in his new home as well.
