My husband and I got our pup when he was 8 weeks old and have had him for 5 years. We're sad to see him go and will miss him but he needs a family with a yard and enough time and patience to deal with his seemingly endless energy. He is very smart; he knows sit, stay, lay down, spin around, shake, down, no, go ahead, good boy, bone, ball, and plays a dog version of hide-and-seek called "find mommy" when we're at the dog park. He is house trained and learned to ring a bell that wrapped around our doorknob to let us know when he needs to go outside after only being shown a couple of times...although that backfired when he learned that he got to play outside whenever he rang it and started to ring the bell every 5 minutes :) He loves every human he meets including children although they are sometimes afraid of his energy. He rarely barks, is hot and cold with other dogs and has only met a cat once and chased it. We're in no rush to find him a home -we just want the right one.
