Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tony is a CROSS POST. PLEASE contact his foster mom at dnajaras@gmail.com.
Tony is one of a litter of 4 male kittens born in a foster home to a feral mother in late April. He is what T.S. Elliot referred to as a "jellicle cat" in his book, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. Tony is a true gentleman and loves to play. Tony will seek out his foster mom when his brothers are sleeping and curl up next to her purring. He has shown more confidence that his brothers at adoption events.
One kitten in Tony's litter tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV), but the attending vet now speculates that this could have been a false positive from the recently administered FeLV vaccine, which is known to cause false positives. Furthermore, the mother and all of the other kittens tested negative for FeLV on 7/25/18. The FeLV+ kitten was euthanized for other medical reasons. The surviving kittens were tested again on 10/19/18 and all were negative for FeLV. The vet who administered the test thinks that the 3 surviving kittens are very healthy. However, their foster mom believes it's important to make prospective adopters aware of the suspected false positive FeLV results so that they can do their due diligence with regard to that one result, especially if there are resident cats in the home.
