My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a 5 year old chihuahua mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She came to us from the humane society where she was very scared. Pepper prefers women and will warm up to them faster than she will to men. Pepper loves to play fetch and she loves the water. She loves to hop in the tub or be in the shower. Pepper is a typical chi that wants to be wherever you are and will follow you around. All dogs will need a housetraining refresher when moving to a new house and routine. Pepper has a mid grade heart murmur but she has had xrays to look at everything, and no further medication or anything is needed at this time.

Adoption fee is $350.00 (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
